On Tuesday 6th July a total of 55 children took part in
District Sports at BurstowSchool.
Five schools (Manorfield, Yattendon, Meath Green, Burstow and Salfords)
took part in this annual event.
There were a variety of track and field events that the
children were able to take part in.
The children were very well-behaved and committed themselves
to doing their best for their school.
Although we didn’t win overall, Ashley and Megan both won the Football Throw!
A big thank-you must be given to all the staff and parents who helped in transporting the children to and from Burstow.
Without their support we would not have been able to take part in this event.
ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT
On Monday 14th June, Manorfield hosted an inter-school rounders tournament.
A total of 5 schools (Manorfield, Meath Green Juniors, Yattendon, Salfords and Burstow) all took part each bringing 2 teams with them.
The standard of play throughout the afternoon was exceptional and Manorfield missed out on the final by 1 point. Everyone watched the closely contested final between Salfords and Meath Green. The eventual winners were Salfords who won by ½ a rounder.
A great afternoon was had by all.

YEAR 5 CRICKET TOURNAMENT
On Friday 2nd July, 8 children set off to Merstham Cricket Club for a Cricket Tournament.
A total of 18 schools from East Surrey took part.
Manorfield's team looked a little nervous in their first match, but this was soon overcome as they settled into their match.
The children played a total of 9 matches and had a very enjoyable day.
Year 5 Team Amir, Himani, Tyler, Max ,Callam, Demi, Bradley, Kieran.
